Solid Character Oak tops have been a long-standing favourite for our customers. Sometimes a restaurant might want to combine these with metal edges which look great but unfortunately carry an inherent risk - once on site the timber might expand or shrink slightly and the metal won't.
A couple of years ago we were introduced to the ideal solution - rustic veneers that look very similar to Character oak, that have the same rustic charm, but which have an MDF core so are extremely stable.
We can offer tops like these in Cracked Oak or Cracked Pine with either matching hardwood edges or metal edges (please see images below). There is also a Bandsawn Oak veneer option and we can offer varying thicknesses from 18mm up to 50mm, finished in clear lacquer or any stain of your choice.
